Sloane Square Hotel
– A brief history

Sloane Square was designed in 1771 and named after Sir Hans Sloane (1660 – 1753).

The property has been a 4 star hotel since 1900. Chelsea has always been at the heart of fashionable London and became world famous during the 1960s as the centre of swinging London. In fact the Beatles frequently stayed in the hotel which was then called The Royal Court.

In 2005/6 the hotel was completely renovated and reopened as Sloane Square Hotel.

We are very proud to be an independent, privately owned hotel which reflects the individual character of the property and personal guest service.

Located in London’s fashionable Chelsea, the Sloane Square Hotel is ideally located for Knightsbridge shopping, the West End, Buckingham Palace and the Victoria & Albert and Science Museums.

Each elegant, air-conditioned room overlooks either Sloane Square or Holy Trinity Church. Decorated in light modern colours, all rooms feature a flat-screen TV and free national calls.

The Sloane Square Hotel also offers the award-winning Cote Brasserie which is open daily serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
